As part of a multistate project on #foodsafety, researchers at @ACESIllinois @wsucahnrs & @UWMadisonCALS created packaging, storage & transportation strategies to minimize temperature changes & maintain frozen potato quality: bit.ly/EnhancingFoodSafetyandQuality @AgIsAmerica @USDA_NIFA
Food companies are interested in a @CTAHRNews supercooling method because--unlike freezing--it doesn’t make ice crystals that can affect meat texture. The biomedical industry is also interested in using it to preserve tissues & organs. bit.ly/EnhancingFoodSafetyandQuality
